Just in , a cool looking Jaguar XK 120 reproduction. Interior was faded , so we're installing brand new leather seats , new carpet and a new cloth top ! Chrome of windshield and grille is flaking and there are multiple stone chips in the paint. Wirewheels are very nice. A exhaust manifold gasket still needs to be installed , but it's in the trunk with a tonneau cover , bag for the side curtains etc. Here's a description as the former owner gave it to us : J A G U A R XK120Z XK120Z – A pedigreed replica classic. This is not a KIT car. The vehicle was built by Coventry Classics LTD and Classic Reproduction LTD of California in 1981. Only eight (8) XK120Zs were built by 1982 each with a $30,000.00 price tag. The vehicle was bought NEW in California, 1982. The vehicle has always been parked inside a residential garage and well maintained. The XK120Z is a handcrafted classic reproduction built with the same tradition of craftsmanship and attention to detail as the original. The reinforced fiberglass body is a painstaking duplicate of the 1952 series Jaguar roadster mounted on a modern chassis. All of the exterior trim and hardware items are replacement Jaguar parts. The removable convertible top and side curtains are also duplicate parts. Zenith Chrome wire wheels with functional knock-off centers are standard equipment as well as the “Nardi” signature wood rim steering wheel. A “Monza” fuel filter cap is the same as used on the competition cars in the 1950’s. The heart of the XK120Z is the well proven Datsun Z engine of 240-280 lineage. This husky 6 cylinder overhead cam power plant closely duplicates the performance of the Jaguar engine. This engine has been modified to a 280ZX L28 2.8 – 4.0 liter engine with a Hooker header with a cost of $10,794.00 Aug 2005. The Jaguar XK120 is considered by many to be the most beautiful production roadster of the postwar era. Body in excellent condition. No accident or body repair ever done, original paint.
