1961 Cadillac convertible

We just got this car in on consignment.. 1961 Cadillac Convertible. Original leather interior is in good shape. Most of the chrome has pitted , and the frontbumper corner piece has a small hole. Paint is "decent " with some imperfections ( not original paint ) but no visible rust anywhere and solid underneath. top motor just been renewed and works well. Top has shrunk some on the sides. Engine runs good on all 8 cyl and car shifts and brakes fine. All in all " just a car ", a driver quality cruiser , but a pretty cool one at that , actually pretty rare and priced in the $ teens to sell quick.

1950 Vanderbundt Speedster

This " Auburn on steroids " started it's life as a 1950 Seagrave Firetruck which served in Miami Beach. More recently , it was " saved " from a local wreckyard by Wil Anders , who took out the burnt up engine , took it down to the frame , mounted the cowl further back etc. and slapped in a reliable 454 CU. GM V8 , coupled to a aut. trans. Having finished the mechanical part and the nose end , he eventually ran out of steam and money , and that's when I saw it at first , and immediately saw it's potential for the ultimate fun car. I must have stood for 2 hours with one eye closed , my hand in front of the rear end , and the other hand chopping down the windshield , and imagining a boattail rearend a la the 30's cars I love. Well , I was able to talk Will out of the car , and it sat for a year or so until I finally got to it. I knew a couple of fella's here in town , who had once helped me build a beautiful mahogany wood tail to my Duesenberg , and they were the perfect guys for the job I invisioned. It's been a work in progress for a few years now , and with the help of Bill Coffman and Bill Penzella of CF BOATS here in Ft.Lauderdale among others , we've been getting closer to our goal. It's been great re-designing this car " on the go " , something I like doing best. Hunting for special parts like fender lights and such at flee markets like Hershey and on eBay has been real rewarding and great mind yoga ! Still lots of things to do ,like fabricating a top ,steps to get in it etc. Ultimately , I'm thinking about installing TWO 454 cu. Supercharged V8'S under the hood, and the dash gauges and starter buttons are already set up for that. The push button trans works great , and it's a blast to drive around town ! ( including using the blast of my REAL trainhorn , haha )Now , I have owned plenty cool cars , but I've NEVER owned anything like this that gets people running out of their cars to take pictures and asking questions ; it's a great feeling knowing our...

1949 Packard Custombuilt one-off Le Baron /

WOW ! Check this out : HUUUUUUUUGE car , 19 feet long , 157 " wheelbase ! This beauty was custom built by well known U.S. coachbuilder Bayliff out of Lima , Ohio. They spent hundreds of thousands of dollars and several years to build this car , which was a prototype for what was going to be a limited run of these cars.Unfortunately , they never built any others just like this, although of course that makes this one even more exclusive ! She's sporting a 260 hp Ford 5.4. liter V8 , automatic transmission , power everything : windows , steering , brakes , even the top ! Discbrakes and dual Duesenberg style exhaust. Custom , real knock-off 100 spoke wirewheels with wide whitewall tires , Haartz cloth convertible top with tan leather top boot , Darrin style seats in beautiful soft leather ( This is a 4 seater car ), beautiful banjo steering wheel , supernice dash and gauges , electric locking trunk and the list goes on.. Air conditioned ofcourse too ! The only one in the world , built in 2003 and like brandnew with very low miles showing since built. Always garaged and pampered as it should. Classic elegance from the 30's , combined with troublefree modern drive train and easy maintenance. The ultimate big boys toy..Instant celebrity status where ever you go ! A " king of the hill " kind of car. Titled as a 1949 Packard , so you can easily register and insure this true masterpiece ! A one-off at a very reasonable price as it's part of a big car collection that I have the privilege to streamline for the owner , and this is one that he'll let go ( although reluctantly I should say ) ASKING $125,000 / OBO Can ship anywhere on the Globe..

1932 Duesenberg II Royalton Dual cowl Phaeton

This beautiful 1932 / 1983 Duesenberg II is one of just a handful factory produced cars that were expertly crafted by Elite Heritage / Duesenberg Motors in Elroy , WI. Newprice 30 years ago approached $200 k then and they sold out instantly , a true testament to the quality of the build. All hardware like the grille and windshields etc is cast in Bronze and then chromed. Drivetrain is a 460 cu V8 bigblock Ford coupled to a auto trans and the car has powersteering and brakes with discbrakes in the front. Heat and AC were standard. She sits on correct 19" true wirewheels complimented by widewall tires. This particular car is loaded with options like sidecurtains ,grilleguard , floor shift control , custom burlwood dash that hides the modern controls , new leather interior , fresh cloth softtop and even the expensive pilot ray foglights that actually turn with the direction of the wheels ! With the market moving up and up and the original models bringing several million dollars now , the price I'm asking is just about 10 % of the price you'll have to pay for an original , whereas this Duesenberg II will be much easier to drive and maintain without having to have any second thoughts about merging into modern day traffic. I sold this beauty about 7 years ago to a friend in Europe , where it was imported into the UK. Just traded her back and imported her , and she's still a looker !

Tank-engined 1928 Rolls-Royce hot rod sells for $187,000 in Monterey |...

Tank-engined 1928 Rolls-Royce hot rod sells for $187,000 in Monterey. In a week of auctions filled with high-dollar sales of European sports cars, a most unconventional street rod narrowly missed breaking into the top-10 at Russo and Steele’s Monterey sale. Dubbed Thunderbolt, the torpedo-bodied, dual-cowl, dual-windshield 1928 Rolls-Royce roadster had a tangible presence, even when its 27-liter Rolls-Royce Meteor V-12 was silent. On Saturday, August 16, Thunderbolt proved that truly unique street rods have a market of their own, selling at a fee-inclusive price of $187,000. http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2014/08/26/tank-engined-1928-rolls-royce-hot-rod-sells-for-187000-in-monterey/

1933 Rolls Royce Phantom II

•One of only 113 Left-Hand-Drive British Phantom IIs • One of just Seven Sport Sedans Fitted to an American-Series Chassis (AJS-AMS) This car is no. 295 AJS . • Professionally Maintained Driveline and Chassis • Matching-Numbers with Original Body, Engine, and Gearbox • Sleek, Subtle, Stylish, Desirable, and Rare • Eligible for Concours, CCCA, and RROC Tours and Events This Rolls-Royce is one of only 113 left-hand-drive, British-built, American-bodied Phantom IIs, and one of only seven Brewster Sport Sedans. The close-coupled, balanced body design is almost coupe-like, yet offers passengers the convenience of a four-door sedan. Brewster & Co. was located on Long Island, New York. They were the favored body supplier for the American Rolls-Royce Works in Springfield, Massachusetts. Design cues include its rear-hinged front doors, raked windshields, 'Trilin' taillamps, mahogany running boards, double-flat bar bumpers, and straightforward instrument panels (Brewster hallmarks that were widely copied by coachbuilders in the 1930s). Mr. Ruger purchased this 4-door Sport Saloon in the early-2000s. A previous owner was Mr. Paul Zimmer cira 1948-52 and later went to Jack Frost of Detroit, who owned it for nearly 30 years and won a class award at an RROC meet in 1976, along with a series of Best in Class and Best in Show trophies. It then went to the Atwell Collection in Texas before joining the Ruger Collection. As-acquired, it had modernized front fenders with side-mounted spare tires. While in Mr. Ruger's care, John Abrahamson of Enfield Auto Restorations was commissioned to return the fenders to their prewar specification, which eliminated the spares. The work included the development of a rear spare tire mount in accordance with Rolls-Royce practice of the era. About Brewster Coachworks : The Brewster Phantoms The early history of Rolls-Royce in America is inextricably intertwined with that of the Brewster & Co. coachworks, which contributed some of the most elegant, sporting and attractively proportioned bodies fitted to any Rolls-Royce chassis. At the turn of the 20th Century, Willie Brewster was the pre-eminent American coachbuilder, and by 1914, he became a Rolls-Royce agent, importing chassis from England and building bodies for his well-established and discerning clientele. Then in 1925, Rolls-Royce bought the company, making Brewster its primary supplier of coachwork in America. Eventually, well over 400 Springfield-built Rolls-Royces were Brewster-bodied. Phantom I production continued in Springfield, Massachusetts after the Phantom II was introduced in England in 1929, but the Springfield Phantom I was then phased out in 1931 in favor of the Derby-built, left-hand drive Phantom II. The Phantom II offered a more refined, updated chassis and an improved engine with an improved cross-flow cylinder head, with the engine now mounted in unit with the transmission. Chassis improvements included hydraulic shock absorbers and semi-elliptic springs front and rear. A considerable reduction in ride-height resulted, lending itself to sleeker and more modern body designs. In 1930, the Rolls-Royce of America operation in Springfield knew it was in trouble. The magnitude of the Depression was becoming obvious, and the Springfield manufacturing operation was closed, with Brewster now becoming an importer-distributor for Rolls-Royce in the US. The problem was that the new Phantom II, as introduced in Britain, was not considered suitable for the US market, because it lacked many of the advanced features of the final Springfield-built Phantom Is. For example, the Springfield Phantom I was left-hand drive, had thermostatic radiator shutters, a complete “one-shot” chassis lubrication system, easier to maintain chrome brightwork, smaller and more stylish 20-inch wheels, a carburetor air cleaner and a silenced intake system. Springfield agreed to buy 200 left-drive Phantom IIs if the British factory would make all the improvements considered necessary for the US market. Derby agreed and went through a full experimental program to develop the improved Phantom II for the American market. Two experimental chassis were built at Derby – 24EX and 25EX. Both were first tested in France, and then Ernest Hives, head of the Experimental Department, took 25EX to the US for evaluation, arriving there in October 1930. The result of the development program was a delightful car with an improved top speed, a lower chassis and quieter operation than the sophisticated Springfield-built Phantom I. In fact, the improvements inspired Derby to incorporate all of them (except left-hand drive) into all Phantom IIs, commencing with chassis JS1. The first deliveries of the left-hand drive Phantom II chassis began in the spring of 1931. The Brewster coachworks was ready with its designs for the new Phantom II chassis when it arrived. While some of the designs were warmed-over Phantom I body styles, some were indeed fresh. The Newport Town Car for traditional chauffeur-driven use and the Henley Roadster for the owner-driver represented the first of the new designs. Ultimately, the contract for 200 left-drive cars from Derby was never fulfilled, but 116 were sold in North America and six more in Europe. While sales were limited, this group of cars is recognized nonetheless among the most desirable of all Classic Era Rolls-Royces. Priced attractively , but please call me for more info , thank you very much. JP van de Bundt , + 1 954 232 9494

The 10 oddest cars at Pebble Beach There is no shortage of high-dollar auction lots to monitor this week in northern California, where the world’s biggest auctioneers have descended on the golf links of the Monterey peninsula. Not to be upstaged by machines dripping provenance from their tailpipes, however, are some lovable outcasts that, with any luck, should find warm, happy homes.

( including using the blast of my REAL trainhorn , haha )Now , I have owned plenty cool cars , but I've NEVER owned anything like this that gets people running out of their cars to take pictures and asking questions ; it's a great feeling knowing our creativity is paying off , and we're causing lots of smiles and looks of disbelief ! It's a great stress reliever after a week of hard work , and I always come home with a big grin on my face ! Is it for sale ? Hmmm.. really don't know , don't care..maybe , if you pay me enough..What's enough ? I honestly have no idea ; what am I gonna compare it with ? I know , everything has a price. Well , you can always come visit me with a big suitcase full of pictures of dead presidents , and when you tell me how many are in there , I may give you the answer ! :-)

1933 Rolls Royce Phantom II

One of only 113 Left-Hand-Drive British Phantom IIs • One of just Seven Sport Sedans Fitted to an American-Series Chassis (AJS-AMS) This car is no.

THIS CAR WILL BE OFFERED FOR SALE AT THE AUCTIONS AMERICA AUCTION , AUGUST 30 , 2014 IN AUBURN INDIANA..

1928 Rolls Royce Thunderbolt

1928 Rolls Royce 27 Litre V12 METEOR engined special. Yes , 27 litre.. That's a little bit more than you've got in that big block car of yours , haha ! Go figure that in cubic inches !! That's about 4 x 350 cu. V8's !! This car is truly wild ! This "special " was initially built by my friend Stig in Finland and we did a deal and it was shipped to me in Florida. I re-designed everything from the windshield back and commisioned my friends at CF Boats in ft.Lauderdale to do the work. It became a torpedo bodied , dual cowl , dual V windshield car and I'm quite pleased with the result. Thousands of hours were spent on it and it shows. It's wild ! The goal was to make it look " old" and original , and we did reach that goal ; people simply love it. The car definately looks old and original. Look at the gauges , the brass windshield , the " weathered " leather interior , the cool steering wheel etc . ! After having debuted at the Festival of Speed in Orlando with great succes , she was invited at the Concourse d'elegance in Boca Raton on feb. 23rd 2014 , even though it was not a original car , and the people absolutely loved it ! On the hour , we started her up for a few minutes of " flamethrowing and thunder " Fun , fun , fun !!! For the man who thought he had it all ; 650 hp of flamethrowing car art and drivable too ! THIS CAR WILL BE OFFERED FOR SALE AT THE RUSSO AND STEELE AUCTION IN MONTEREY , CA ON AUG. 14-16

• Professionally Maintained Driveline and Chassis
• Matching-Numbers with Original Body, Engine, and Gearbox

• Eligible for Concours, CCCA, and RROC Tours and Events

This Rolls-Royce is one of only 113 left-hand-drive, British-built, American-bodied Phantom IIs, and one of only seven Brewster Sport Sedans.

1948 Allard L type

1948 Allard L type in very nice condition. Using a crashed Ford V8 coupĂ© on to which he had grafted the body from a Grand Prix Bugatti, racing driver Sydney Allard constructed one of the most unlikely of all pre-war trials specials. However, the Allard Special’s lightweight construction and relatively powerful American V8 engine, although not the first such combination, demonstrated the formula’s potential and provided the inspiration for future imitators, including Carroll Shelby who acknowledged Allard’s influence on the Cobra. After WW2, Allard progressed from special-builder to motor manufacturer, though the latter activity was really little more than a means of financing the company’s competition programme. Post-war Allards combined the same virtues of light weight, independent front suspension and an abundance of American V8 power, which had been features of that first trials special of the mid-1930s. These favourable characteristics enabled Allard to establish a formidable competition record in the immediate post-war years, Sydney himself finishing 3rd at Le Mans in a J2 two-seater and winning the Monte Carlo Rally outright in a P2 saloon. Introduced in 1946, the L-type employed Allard’s trademark independently suspended ‘split’ front axle and transverse-leaf rear end in a chassis 6” longer than that of the contemporary K-type, the extra length being used to accommodate two rear passenger seats. Like the vast majority of production Allards, the L-type used Ford/Mercury components, these being readily obtainable from Ford in the UK, the choice of engines being the 3,622cc Ford V8 or modified 4,375cc Mercury. A mere 191 examples were produced between 1946 and 1950, only 10 of which are currently known to the UK Allard Register. We were just fortunate enough to purchase this rare and very cool looking car and are offering her back to the market at only $67,500 / obo / trade up or down..
